My Camino De Santiago on film

Hi everyone,

Just thought i'd post a link to my video of my walk back in 2007 along the Camino Frances in memory of my late mum.

Its a little long, at just over an hour but some may find it interesting or even useful.
By the way, I walked from July 12th - 11th August, the height of the Spanish summer, for anyone interested in knowing the weather and route conditions at that time :)

Hi Greg, just finished watching your wonderful moving film. I am 55, mother of a 17 year old who has just gone through a couple of years of teenage hell, for both her and us, emerging from it as we speak. Your mum is/was so fortunate to have your dedication and commitment and love, it is very moving to see in your account. I am just about to hop in the shower to get ready to board the plane from Auckland New Zealand to fly to Geneva to walk the Geneva Le Puy route followed by the Robert Louis Stevenson track. I walked the Camino in 2006 and the Le puy route last year and watching your film was like walking the Camino again. I recognized almost all the images. It is amazing how much has stuck in my mind. I had a sudden urge to switch plans and walk the Camino instead of what I have planned, don't think I will though, not enough time and I have it pretty organized. There is always another time, hopefully anyway. All the best to you and thank you for your tribute to your mum. Love, Gitti

Hi Gitti,

Thanks for your kind words and i'm glad you enjoyed the film.
The camino has recently begun to pull me back again after a few years laying fairly dormant in my mind and the video just made my mind up for me.
I fly on the 27th October for a winter Camino.
If you're plans change i.e. you walk the from Geneva to Le Puy, then Robert's track...THEN the Camino Frances :) let me know, we may bump into each other!

Have a wonderful time and Buen Camino Gitti.
