Hi, I'm kate and thinking to walk in April or May 2014. I'm from England but live in canada. Anybody else thinking to travel there at the same time?

Hi Kate,
I'll will be walking around May 10. Been training for 4 months, but feel I have a long way to go. Very excited about the trip. Hope we cross paths.

Cool, the more Canadians, the better!!

Hi Kate,

I just joined yesterday also. I am planning on going in May 2014. I am from the states. Pittsburgh, PA to be exact. I don't have my flight yet or date. Because I am a woman traveling by myself I am trying to find other women traveling by themselves to see if we can make a group and pick a date and go together. Men are allowed also. I know we will all have different paces and may not walk the same but I am thinking if we arrive at the same place each night it will be fun to catch up.

Hello Kate and Susan,

Welcome to the forum

In case you've missed it the Calendar link (see the bottom of this page) will give you an idea of when forum members are leaving and where from. There will be others though who don't use this forum by the way.

Susan,
You may start alone but you probably won't be alone unless you want to be.

Buen Camino.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thanks John. That is what I was thinking also. I am not concerned at all starting alone because I know I will make many friends along the way.

Walking on your own is not a problem, and I see there are others on this thread who want to meet up already. Socialising is great and there's as much/little as you want to be involved in. Afternoons and evenings at hostals are a very good time to catch up too.

Hi Susan. Born and raised in Ford City Penna.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Small world. I raised my kids in Saxonburg, PA which is just south of Butler, PA. We played Ford City in basketball. I know exactly where Ford City is.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I am start in SJPP and I am shooting for May. Do not have tickets yet or exact dates. Am hoping to find others going in May and plan on starting with a few people. Although we all know we will want time alone it will be nice to start out with some people. Never heard of Port Orange but just looked it up on the map and it looks like a great location. I have friends in Ocala and my brother lives in Port St. Lucie.

Once you figure out your dates of travel enter it on the calendar and you can see who else is starting around the same time that you are. You will most likely find some forum members to tag along with. Buen Camino. Ed

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
near the top right of any forum page you will see a hot link titled "Camino Calendar". Once you get to the link, go to the bottom of the page and click on new Calendar. Enter you data there. Buena Suarte

If you have any trouble, do a search for new calendar on the forum as there are instructions on how to enter your dates. Let me know if you need any additional help and I will give you a hand. Ed

The page link to the Camino Calendar will NOT allow you to enter your dates; it is now dormant and contains only historic data.

Go to the top menu bar and click on "Events." You can enter your dates there.
