Wonderful, earlier this year I walked part of St Declan's Way through the Knockmealdowns and got a certificate for 25k which I can add to the 75k from Coruna and collect a Compostella in Santiago...

Actually, around now, the first section is about done for those members of the Camino Ireland centre who registered, as far as Dunlaoghaire. Next Saturday, part 2 into town. The 32km, done and dusted.
After next week's walk, a celebration and fiesta. Join, register, celebrate! I will be on duty but will join in for the fiesta...

Lake District is beautiful, drove through and around the area few years back, would love to walk it...

It is spectacular however it rained 80mm on one day. We had to ford rushing mountain streams to the knees on multiple occasions. A very different type of walking! One example.
