My wife Mercedes and I are walking our first Camino on 15 July, from Tui. We'll travel at a relaxed pace and arrive in Santiago de Compostela during the weekend of the Feast of Saint James the Apostle. Thank you Ivar and forum posters for all the helpful videos and advise you've provided.
We initially planned our Camino Frances to start May 2020, moved it to 2021, then postponed it again to 2022 because of the pandemic. When Spain opened to vaccinated America tourists last month, I booked this shorter Camino because we just can't wait another year.
A little about us: our ages are 68 and 70, married for I forget how long. We have one adult son. Our respective hobbies of quilting, bicycling, and exercise routines are more apart than shared. This journey is a way for us to celebrate our relationship and to prepare for our much longer 2022 Camino.
