I'm planning to return to the Camino in late spring or early summer. Would like help with the following:
1. Is the Camino open for business?
2. Any COVID related restrictions (Spain entry, safety precautions)?
3. Hotel availability?
4. Are cafe's open?
5. Is backpack delivery service available?

Planning on arriving in Madrid and then taking a flight to Pamplona.

Would appreciate general comments. Last visit was pre-COVID (2017).
Thanks in advance.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

  1. Yes, to the extent that the Camino "does business"
  2. Masks might still be required on public transportation or in health care facilities. Entry requirements depend on where you are coming from, etc. You should confirm at this site.
  3. Yes, hotels are available
  4. Yes, cafes are open (when they are not closed)
  5. Yes, on the more popular routes.
There is lots of information here on the forum. Just browse through the new threads, or browse through the tag topics that are listed at the bottom of this page.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

In December masks were still required on public transportation. I would assume it is the same for health care facilities. Hotels are also available when they are not closed :)
