Posting from Santiago to Australia

Has anyone had any experience or knowledge about posting back pack and some contents from Santiago to Australia ?? Approx cost ? Or any other info

I sent stuff from Santiago to Canada using Spain's Correos.

Rates are reasonable. There was a large office close to the cathedral in Santiago. They sell boxes of various sizes.

The problem is at home. The Canadian post office will only hold a package for two weeks then send it back to the sender unless you've arranged in advance to hold all mail. This is a problem if you are still traveling.
