I registered because I'm planning on starting the Camino de Santiago either within a couple of days from now or early next year.

I've been living a nomadic/drifters existence since about five years. I'm often on the road with my trekking kit and in between I volunteer or work for a little money or other support. The reason I'm not sure about leaving now or next year is that I'm currently volunteering with very nice people on a Farm in the Czech Republic. I'm welcome to stay and help during the winter but that means staying another six months which I'm not sure about.

I'm used to walking (very) long distances and wild camping even in though conditions. I don't know what to expect from this small adventure or how it's going to be different from the normal hiking I do other then that I'm usually alone when walking.

I'm especially looking for route information, and poi's along the way. Also, I'm always on a low budget because I only work for money to cover my needs.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi Hubrecht and welcome here.

I' m sure that forummember @SYates will give you all the necessary info. You could not find a better source.

Buen Camino!

I walked 2014 from Prague (where I live) to Santiago. I departed in June to make sure that I don't walk in winter and to make sure that I don't 'hit' Spain during main pilgrim season. I am a slow walker btw that manages ~500km/month. You can have a look at my, incomplete, blog about that pilgrimage here: http://praguesantiago.eu
A few weeks back we hosted a pilgrim at our home that is walking from Warsaw to Santiago and onwards, his photoblog is here: https://www.photoblog.com/wandervogel/ He is a far faster walker then I am.

In short, if you start out now, there is a real danger that you encounter winter in the mountains of Switzerland/France. And I mean serious winter conditions! On the other hand, you could start to walk and stay to work during your pilgrimage. Anything I can do to help, just ask. Buen Camino, SY
