question about alberge times and dates

Hi there, Folks....
Greetings to all.........I am thinking about walking the Camino Frances from LePuy to Santiago in the fall.
Can anyone please tell me how late in the year the alberges on that route stay open...? Are any of them still open in November and December..? Could you suggest a guide book that would contain current information about this...? (I have to walk in the fall because of work constraints.)

Yes, but many will have shut down. Visit sites like gronze.com to see what may be open. The Le Puy route is a bit harder to research.

Miam Miam Dodo lists all accommodation within 5km of the path and it includes the dates during which the accommodation operates. It is available as an iPhone app which seems to be free, but is not entirely intuitive to use. Once downloaded you can access each individual plan ("Access ou plans") from the opening map, each red square represents a short section of the trail, and the red squares open into a more detailed map, with the position of the accommodation marked. Highlighting the individual accommodation gives you the details, including opening and closing date.
Whew! Hope that is understandable. Gronze might be easier.

These lists provide info by geographic location as you progress along the route. Both pilgrim albergues and regular tourist accommodations are cited. Citations in brown ink are pilgrim albergues and black ink regular tourist accomodation.
