Record-breakers on the Camino

The CF seems to be attracting more and more record-breakers. Last month, a 68-yr-old long-distance runner called Alfredo Uria ran from Roncesvalles to Santiago in 7 days, running every day from 7.00 to 22.00. These were his stages:
1- Roncesvalles - Los Arcos.
2- Los Arcos - Belorado.
3- Belorado - Boadilla del Camino.
4- Boadilla del Camino - Mansilla de las Mulas.
5- Mansilla de las Mulas - El Acebo.
6- El Acebo - Sarria.
7- Sarria - Santiago de Compostela.
This report shows him at a reception with the mayor of Santiago along with the mayor of his home town in the Basque country.

Now, the TV channel Antena3 reports on a cyclist training to cycle the route within 24 hours.

Now, the TV channel Antena3 reports on a cyclist training to cycle the route within 24 hours.

I saw this guy on TV, he was training for it now. Started around 4 am and stopped about 2am. He said his biggest challenge was to fight sleep. While on the camino he was planning on stopping 3 or 4 times. The tv story did not mention where he was starting from, but still.... :roll:

They also mentioned that he had biked a "Tour de France" route in 11 days once... so he is a veteran.
