A question a little out of 'left field', but has anyone come across a retail (or private) art studio specialising (or simply carrying) Camino related oil or water colour paintings? I've had no problems sourcing various prints worthy of framing; however, haven't come across a good artist depiction of the pilgrimage walk....yet.

Has anyone had any luck in this respect? I did a bit of internet searching, but nothing of note.

Appreciate responses which might head my way! Cheers.

When I'm finished my Camino, I want to commission this Etsy shop for one of their watercolour Camino portraits. :) They paint a custom picture of you based on a photo you send them, while wearing your equipment. There's a variety of styles on their shop of how the portrait can end up looking like (background/no background, Cathedral/no Cathedral, etc). I think they're very pretty!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The owner of this albergue several kilometers beyond Sarria is a wonderful artist, an oil painter. She had paintings on display in the mill building when we were there in 2015. The albergue is closed seasonally so she can reclaim the kitchen and lounge for her own use. She should have time now to respond to queries.

You can buy Camino photos and paintings online ... use an editing program to alter photos to water colour (mine works well).

Check out Zamoy Tamay in Santiago. He has a gallery and can paint and personalize your Camino! Highly recommend him!!!

Thank you Pilgrim2022. Had a quick look at his web site...and certainly looking interesting. Definitely down for a visit when next in Santiago. Appreciate the recommendation.

The is (was) a forum member called Weiho from whom I bought a watercolour several years back. His work is accomplished and very evocative of the camino experience. Maybe approach him via a private message to see if he is still active.

Hi all, I’m starting my Camino Frances on May 12. I’ve booked my first night in SJPDP, but I’m starting to worry I need to book more. My plan was to take it day by day and just turn up, but lots...
Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...
Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
Seems to be a lot of people posting about stuff they lost on the Camino recently. I managed to leave a nice new-ish polo shirt somewhere drying and didn't notice for over a week. I hope someone...
I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
