I see there is a full kitchen available at the Roncesvalles Albq. From the Wise Pilgrim site there is also a convenience store in town. Can items for a full meal be purchased at the market and is the kitchen complete enough to really cook in?

Thanks for your help.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
No.

There is a good market in Burgete about three or four kilometers onwards. Not much use to you.

The albergue has rows of coin operated machines that sell chocolate bars, soup cups, and yoghurt. Snacks not meals.

There are microwave ovens.

If you want a meal go to the restaurant.

Hi Jo
That must be a mistake in Wise Pilgrim. There's no store in Roncesvalles. It isn't a town, or even really a village, just the monastery complex plus three hotels, each of which has a bar and restaurant. You can buy snacks or meals at the bars/restaurants, and from the vending machines as @whariwharangi says, but there's no store. The nearest is just at the entrance to Burguete, about 3km up the road.
Hope that helps!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
No store in Roncesvalles. In the Albergue there are self-sevice machines selling snacks and there is a kitchen available. Bit if the place is full there will be a lot of people wanting to use these facilities.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
