Starting my first Camino May (ingles way) I have been reading a lot about other pilgrims once finished their Camino in Santiago they walked to Finisterre. Has anyone in the group done this? Is there buses from Finisterre to Santiago or A coruna? Also carrying a stone from home to leave there? Is this a myth?
Would love to read fellow members/pilgrims on their experience
Thanks Michael from Liverpool UK 🙏👣⛪

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Many have walked to Fisterra and Muxia. Buses from both to Santiago and from Muxia to A Coruna and it’s Airport for your flight home. The stone from home: that is Cruz Ferro, another place entirely. I take the ashes of my tribe to Muxia and our broken boat but that is another myth from another time.

Putting Fisterra, Finisterre or Muxia into the forum search engine ( top right on your screen) will lead you to wonderful places

I have walked to Muxia and then to Finisterre. Many people do. There are buses from Santiago to Finisterre, Muxia and A Coruña. There are also trains between Santiago and A Coruña. People more commonly leave a stone at the Cruz de Ferro on the Camino Frances but no particular reason not to take one to Finisterre if that is in your mind.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Also carrying a stone from home to leave there? Is this a myth?

People more commonly leave a stone at the Cruz de Ferro on the Camino Frances but no paricular reason not to take one to Finisterre if that is in your mind.
As @Bradypus said it's more common to leave a stone at Cruz de Ferro on the Francés, but leaving one at the "end of the Earth" would be rather symbolic.
What is a myth, is the so called tradition of burning clothes at Finisterre. This is illegal and can be dangerous and damaging to the environment.
