Hi everyone,

I`ll arrive on 20th of May from Paris via Bayonne to Saint Jean Pied de Port. My train arrives to Saint Jean Pied de Port rather late, 19.31 o´clock. )(www.voyages-sncf.com/). I´ll have to wait few hours in Bayonne because my train arrives from Paris 15.31 o´clock.
My question is this: Should I book an accomodation before in Saint Jean Pied de Port? Or is there any faster way to travel to SJPDP? A bus line? Is anyone willing to share a taxi?
I apologizing beforehand if my question is already asked here beforehand, I am a newbeginner.

Un saludo,
Aapee

I am surprised none of other the veteran posters have not jumped into to help you with this answer, but then the answers are readily available on many other thread about booking at SJPdP.
The Pilgrim Office stay open late this time of year and can help you find a bed, that being said there are apparently a LOT of pilgrims starting the Camino right now.

I would book if you can then you have peace of mind. St Jean was the only bed I booked and 'winged' it the rest of the time.
My pic was taken at L'Espirit du Chemin which is now Beilari it's lovely and almost directly opposite to Pilgrim's Office so easy to find.
The office will help you find a bed if you decide not to book in advance, my son didn't book in May 2 years ago and they were able to help him.

Good luck and Buen Camino
Sarah

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I am coming from Paris and won't be in Bayonne till 22.30 (19/ may).Is there a good hotel in Bayonne ?So I can catch the train to SJPDP in the morning .(I am coming from OZ)
