SJPP to Pamplona

Time of past OR future Camino
May 2016
In May of this year I walked the camino with two friends from Pamplona all the way to the ocean (Muxia and Finistere). We skipped the SJPP to Pamplona part due to time constraint. Admittedly, we took a bus from Burgus to Leon, but just the same, we actually walked some 650 km. It was great!
Now I am planning to do the SJPP - Pamplona part with my wife in May 2017 and compensate her for the effort with a 2-3 day visit to Barcelona afterwards...
Any ideas about when it would be best to do it, if I have to choose between starting in mid May or around May 23rd?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thanks SY. Any suggestion on how to get from Pamplona to SJPP in order to start the trek at SJPP?

CONDA (ALSA) operates bus service from Pamplona to SJPdP. The schedule won't be available more than 30 days in advance. The bus schedule varies, shutting down entirely in winter, and has as many as 4 buses daily in summer.

Alternatively, take CONDA bus Pamplona to San Sebastian. Renfe train from San Sebastian to Irun. Metro Donostialdea from Irun to Hendaia. SNCF train from Hendaye to Bayonne. SNCF train from Bayonne to SJPdP. The advantage is the train from Bayonne to SJPdP runs 4 times per day all year.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

also you could make use of Bla Bla Car (google and it should come up) it's a car share service with registered drivers that seems to work very well in France and Spain. You cannot make bookings months in advance but nearer the time you could put a request on their site.
