Hi I plan on walking the Camino starting mid-April. Has anyone used a Vango Venom 200 sleeping bag at that time of year and if so how did you find it? Thanks, Barbara

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Barbara,

I love Vango products myself.

The Venom 200 is good to 25F. Not sure why it is only considered a 2 season bag. At any rate it should be fine for the Camino at that time of year. If any further insulation is needed, throw on your jacket and maybe some tights and socks.

Enjoy and stay warm.

I haven't used that one. However, any lightweight bag rated for 7-10°C should be fine. Everyone has different preferences with respect to shape (mummy versus rectangular) and fill (down versus synthetic) and trade offs of quality and price and weight.

I would recommend that you get whatever it is that you want for sleeping in and then try it for several nights before leaving.

It is much easier to fix things before you leave when you are in a familiar location than when you are on the trail.

It looks like a good sleeping bag but rated to -4 celsius and at 700 gram you might find that it is warmer and heavier than you need if staying in albergues on the camino.
Planning is part of the fun! Wishing you a very buen camino.

Unless you have a problem with northern european temperatures I wouldn't worry about the bag.I walked April 2017 Leon to Santiago.Blankets supplied at all my Albergues.
