Stamps for final day?

Do I need to collect stamps on my final day in order to receive the compostela? I have about 2 hours of walking tomorrow and don't plan on stopping until I arrive at Santiago. My hotel for this last night took up the final free space in my credential. Had I been paying more attention I would have skipped a few extra stamps today haha

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
We, too, ran out of space on our Credencial this past spring about a day out of SdC. Just have the map or any open space stamped. I have to be truthful, in five trips to the Pilgrim’s Office, I’ve never had my Credencial scrutinized for when and where I got stamps. Nonetheless, I still collected stamps even for the last day of walking. There will be plenty of cafés that you will pass in your last two hours of walking. Congratulations!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Ask for a piece of paper and put the stamps and date on there. No problem.

Yes! I had to remember to stop for coffee before reaching the cathedral. Was quite a nice sello, pic of octopus..

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
As it turned out they didn't care. They barely looked at my stamps and certainly didn't count back to Sarria. Oh well.
I have had two people really check my credentials out, two that looked, I guess from 100K out and 2 that barely looked and just asked where I started. How I remember this meaningless personal camino fact I have no idea.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Ha. Probably because the occasion marked the end of such a meaningful experience...

Congrats on completing your first Camino. So much to unpack, all the could haves, should haves, would haves, I'm sure. Most important thing is you made it and have memories to take along. Tomorrow will come soon enough so enjoy today as best as you can, Peregrino!

Just needed one stamp on the walk in to SdC. The Pilgrim Office completion stamp was the second.

All Spanish post offices (Correos)and police stations on the route provide stamps; no need to buy anything.

I don't recall if, or where, I got any stamps in Santiago either time I qualified for a Compostela, but don't think I did.

For what it's worth, people like me can skip the line and get a cathedral stamp in a separate room from the certificates. But there are albergues and bars in Santiago as well. And tourist offices there and in other cities have stamps.
