In June 2017 I waited in line for almost two hours for my Compostela. On March 8th, 2018 I waltzed right up to the counter where three volunteers were waiting. I think the day before I arrived only 48 peregrinos had arrived.

That is a typical, and yearly, bump in pilgrim numbers ;-) Easter week is for many Spaniards (and Europeans from nearby countries) ideal to walk the Caminos. It will get a bit quieter now and then the 'summer wave' will hit. BC SY
