Here we will have two minutes silence at 7:00 p.m. Spanish time tomorrow (Monday 29th) for the victims and families affected by the train derailment on the evening of the 24th. The funeral at the cathedral begins at that time. So many people have sent prayers and thoughts towards Compostela this last few days and I thought it would be a good gesture to try to not only remember those who have lost their lives, but also to send love and light energy and "prayers" to those many, many people whose lives have also been shattered by this terrible tragedy.
We will be five pilgrims: two from Melbourne, Australia, two from California, USA, one from Michigan, USA, and myself, and we will keep silence each in our own way.
Won´t you join us in your thoughts?

Yes, and thank you Tracey - we both will.

Also we see from the rtve.es news site that they it will be possible to watch the service 'en directo'
http://www.rtve.es/noticias/directo-la-1/ starting at 18.45 Spanish time (or to see the recording later via the rtve website).

It'll be 5am here in NZ, so I'm bound to be keeping complete silence at that time. I'll join with the sentiment though, and observe the silence upon waking.

Rest in peace. Prayers also for the pilgrims killed in the coach crash in Italy

Hello, so my plans have slightly changed after completing the Coastal Portuguese and Finisterre/Muxia caminos on June 13. I now have 2 extra days in Santiago and was wondering where I should head...
The Santiago pilgrim office issued 3,171 Compostelas today. The second time so far this year when the total has been over 3,000. The first was on Good Friday when 3,193 Compostelas were handed out.
