En el Camino is a family run albergure, last time I was there everyone from the grandparents down to small children were there to help pilgrims in any way possible and to make life good-that 3-r4 generations! They have a communal dining hall which is marvelous, and I had some particularly revolting laundry which they would not let me touch but wisked it off and I received it later by my bed and folded! A green courtyard, flowers and sculpture-good that Santriago callsa since one dosn't want to leave!
Scruffy (aka Miguel-Michael in Hebrew)

Yes, I remember him.
The first name of the lady (or one of the) in the kitchen is Patricia
I could charge my camera during dinner using the outlet in the kitchen. And she kept an eye on it.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Yes, Eduardo Merino is his name.
Not only nice, but also very efficient!
He mentioned that the huge building behind the albergue and next to the church will be their new "albergue". To me it looks somehow out of "context", but who am I to judge?

oh wow i'm glad i looked at this post! I've been wanting to email this same guy but not even knowing his name. He was the kindest soul i met on the camino....I arrived at his albergue at 7.30 at night, dripping wet as I had got caught in the most epic thunder/hail and lightening storm on the meseta and had badly twisted my ankle. When I arrived they said they had no beds (and its 5km to the next town!), but when this man came out he grabbed my hand, dried it on his jumper and promised to find me somewhere to sleep. I was on the verge of tears.

I have kicked myself ever since for not staying at the albergue the following morning to thank him. Now I get to make amends, thankyou so much for posting this question!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
