But using the emoji won't convey the same sarcasm as the words accompanied by the winking emoji.

That said, I expect the responses are due to feeling piled on as a new member to the forums by all of the existing community. I think the reaction to his practice has been made eminently clear and need not be repeated ad nauseum.

Edit: I thought he was a new member because he seemed to recently introduce himself in that forum but he seems to have been a member for a few years. Maybe he recently stopped lurking (and, in this thread, is regretting it).

Harry Potter's invisibility cloak? If you stay on the Camino there is a big chance they will see you again. Even slow walkers sometimes skip a stage and are level with or ahead of the fast ones again. Fast ones sometimes take a day off for whatever reason. Pray they don't have an elephant kind of memory.

Once, on the Via de la Plata, there was an old Scottish couple walking same length as me each day, ending up in the same albergues as me. Each morning, he got up at 3.30 AM, noisily, made a lot of noise in the nearby kitchen, and at 4.30 AM he walked into the dorm, and shouted: "Tea is ready, my dear!" At 8 AM, when the last pilgrims started walking, they were having coffee in the kitchen.

After 3 nights, I stopped early in a bar, and watched them walk by and into the distance. I then went to the albergue, making it a short day. I never saw them again until Santiago.

A God exists; sometimes, He just needs a little help.
