Wandering Weirdo aka 伟思礼
Time of past OR future Camino
2015–2018 (partial)
After reading several (actually many) posts about how different people prefer to do a Camino, I thought I should share a story from last year.

I was standing near the wine fountain in Irache. Lady comes up to me and asks (in Spanish), "I heard it wasn't working. Do you know something about that?"

I pointed to the sign that said in English and Spanish that they put in one hundred liters each day, and said "they only put in one hundred liters each day; maybe they ran out."

She turned around and said in English to a group, "The nice gentlemen explained to me that there's only one hundred liters a day …" and some other words. Then the group took a lot of pictures, climbed into a van, and drove away. The punch line is the slogan on top of the van:

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Well, it just goes to show how wrong one can be when making an assumption! Thanks, Katharina.
And...Their journeys are expensive. 15 days (escorted) walking and driving on the Frances for £5,495. All that money and the hoi poloi who are paying 5 Euros a night drank all the wine. Sigh.:confused::D

Hmmm. Rick Steves's most expensive Iberian tour starts at US$4095 for fourteen days. It too has a lot of walking. See https://www.ricksteves.com/tours/spain-portugal/spain — open the top one and scroll down to "physical demands."
