Being from the U.S. and realizing that we may face obstacles upon arriving in Europe, could we agree to say where we are from when posting a question or a report on a day's progress? This would be very helpful

I prefer to know what country (or US state) forum members live in, but often many do not include it in their profile. A very good question as it is especially pertinent when questions are asked, or travel plans posted.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I make no secret of my geographical origins. You see my avatar to the left, at the top of Pulsatilla Pass, with Pulsatilla Lake in the background. But I would not want to be urged to declare my origins if I did not wish to do so. Privacy and security are closely linked in online communications these days. As I see it, this issue is only relevant to our shared communications about walking caminos when it directly relates to regulations from our own or other countries about our freedom to travel to, or in, Europe. If anyone wishes to assist in my attempts to sort out the complex and constantly changing information on this subject, they are welcome to know that I am from Canada. Otherwise, I cannot see that this is relevant to walking caminos.

It is easy enough to edit the "About" page in your Profile so that anyone who wishes can see "where you are from", as you can by clicking on, or hovering over, my Avatar, without needing to type it into every question or post. (Tincatinker, West Sussex, UK)
Hopefully your simple instructions will prompt more members to add in their location. I personally do not think it is an invasion of privacy as no city need be listed.
It seems approximately half the members on the forum do not indicate where they are from.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
