Hi, I´m starting my Camino in two month and would like to have from very start "Shell and Credencial". Do you know any webshop which offers this and also sending abroad? Thanks

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I don't know which Camino path you are doing, but if you are doing the Frances and starting in Saint Jean Pied de Port, you can obtain a pilgrim's credential and shell at the pilgrim's office there.

Hi Jaro, might I suggest bringing your own? My wife bought some appetizers served on a shell from our local grocer. We then had the time to decorate with my wife's design of incorporating our state flag (Colorado, USA) with a yellow fletcha. We drilled some holes and then attached to our packs with dental floss; super strong and lightweight.

I love the idea that they are unique and using the flag created conversations with others. They either wanted to know what it was or if they knew, they'd yell "Hey Colorado!" I've attached an image of our packs with our customized shells.

My shell came to me. Had found myself thinking about it a day or so before arriving in Pontevedra. We went for an evening meal and ordered a Viera Unidad which was served in a scallop shell. Having finished and in the spur I said to the waiter that I would keep the shell. He said, I'll take it and clean it for you. He returned it to me clean and wrapped. I cut a hole with my penknife and attached to my mochilla. A simple thing, but its WP_20170618_001.jpgspecial to me.

I work in a C of E primary school we have quite a few shells, asked if I could have one for my Camino. What is very nice is one of the teacher's is going to get the children to design decorating it. I shall pick my favourite and we will paint it on. Will make it not only unique but also very special.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I live in Colorado too, and think these are amazing!

I picked mine up on the Freycinet peninsula while on a holiday with my husband in Tasmania. We stopped for a sandwich on the beach and I noticed a scallop shell close to us. My son drilled a hole for me and I tied it to my pack with a ribbon in the colours of Ethiopia. I had worn the ribbon in my hair while doing a 10k run in Addis Ababa while there on a charity visit to the Hamlin Fistula Hospital. The run was a challenge for me so it was a reminder that I could achieve, overcome and meet the challenges that I would face on the Camino. It’s still tied to my pack two years later and probably always will be!

I walked up the hill to Bergkirche Niedergründau which is on the Jakobsweg (James Way) near where I live and found one hanging on a nail. I thought maybe someone had hung it up so the person that lost it could find it easier, but then I found a second one hanging on a sign. Then a third, also hanging on a sign. Then a fourth hanging on a bench. By that time I was like, "Alright, alright, I promise, I'll go." LOL
