I'm looking for the most up-to-date guide/resource for locating albergues as well as hotels from Ribadeo to Santiago.

My family and I (2 adults and two almost 18 year olds) are trying to decide when to do the Camino del Norte. It works better for everyone's schedule in July, but I don't want to spend the last few days hiking to Santiago in extreme heat. I noticed that this past July, temps did, in fact, reach 38 C/100 F! On the other hand, if we go in May, what I've read that we may be sloshing in wet shoes.

Has anyone done Camino del Norte, starting in Ribadeo, in May?

Thank you for any information you can share about your experience.

Yes, but that was an isolated day. Most days, they were in the 20's (Celsius) or in the low 30's at most.

www.gronze.com/camino-norte might be useful for albergue and other accommodation info although I don't know how updated it is.

P.S: Don't forget that from Arzúa (or Santa Irene if you take that variant) onwards you are on the Camino Francés.

We walked the coast from Ribadeo to San Andrés de Teixido (Ruta do Mar) and then the Camino Inglés in May last year. We had good weather most days, while others further east were walking in rain. We like May as it is cooler for walking, but yes it can sometimes be wetter.
Our guides were gronze and also CSJ's paper guides for the Norte and the Inglés

I use Alltrails a lot here in the US, in Iceland, on the Via Podiensis and a bit on the CF. Will it be useful on the Norte? For example, people here say the "warm up" from Biarritz to Irun (or...

Tomorrow I fly to Bilbao to start my 5th stint on the Camino. I did the Frances in three parts (2016, 2017 and 2022). Last year I did the Portuguese from Porto. I did the first 200 km of the...
I thought I had this all figured out, but I have ended up with 2 train tickets from San Sebastian (I don't even know if it's the airport or the town) to Irun, instead of ONE that goes all the way...
Hi! I’m a Camino newbie planning on walking Camino del Norte this May-June. I have previous hiking experience and do well on longer distances and so on, but not any super recent multi day long...
I’m on day 2 of the CDN and I’m just blown away by the views. Day 1 Irun to San Sebastián, day 2 San Sebastián to Askizu Buen Camino
