Hello you lovely people and thank you for clicking on my post :)

I have spent forever reading all the posts and questions about bags, liners, blankets and all variations and I must admit that I'm confused. I don't like mummy shape bags and I'm not a huge fan of sleeping bags but I like the idea of keeping things very light and very simple... and inexpensive.

I've come up with this as a solution for walking September/October...

Lifeventure EX3 Silk Rectangular Travel Sleeper - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001SH4XIE/?tag=casaivar-21

with a Trekmates Ultra Soft Sleeping Bag Liner - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B5U3Q8M/?tag=casaivar-21

My thinking is that they are both very light, inexpensive, take up little space and I could prehaps put one inside the other?

What are your thoughts? I dont like to get over-warm at night, but I dont like to be cold and I figure I can put a fleece on if I'm too cold? Or would the liner alone be enough?

I know this is a bit of a 'how long is a bit of string' question... but I'd appreciate your words of wisdom before I buy ;)

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Wayfarer - thanks for the links. It was the ping-pong idea, and a few others that led me down this path... I'll check out the ebay link too thanks :)

Hola

Sleeping bag...
Spring, summer, fall : synthetic, so you can machine wash it to get rid of potential bedbugs.
Your idea about a bag inside a bag is a very good idea.
Polar expeditions very often use this 'trick' in extreme cold.
The layer between the bags will create an insulation which most 'professional' bags cannot provide.
And you have the option to only use one that is most suitable for changing temperatures.
