Time of past OR future Camino
Planned Camino for early November 2022
Hello everyone. Myself and my husband plan to walk the Camino from Sarria to Santiago around the first week of November. This is our first Camino. What should we expect weather wise?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
A selection of Camino Jewellery
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
expect 5 feet of snow - this way you'll be pleasantly surprised when it wont happen ;)

I can tell you that late May\mid-June we experienced pretty bad heatwave on CF.
97F (36C) while in Pyrenees and it topped of at 111F (44C) right before I got to Villafranca del Bierzo.
within 1 or 2 days after crossing into Galicia - it started to rain and didn't let go for 9 days and the temps went into 50s F(teens C) during the day....
The Rain in Spain happens mostly on the....er... in Galicia :D

Definitely Rain - I am walking there right now and it has been raining every day.
I second the spare set of dry clothes for the evening. It also gets chilly in the evening. I am glad I brought a packable down jacket - to wear when all the wet clothes are drying.
Buen camino

The rain in Spain falls mainly in Galicia and the paths may start to be muddy. I would recommend waterproof boots in November. You might fall lucky and see no rain but best to be prepared.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I am sat in Melide. It's pouring with rain, cold and windy. The trail is very muddy in places and in others it's like walking in a stream. It is still stunningly beautiful. Some of the cafés in the quieter spots are shut but there are still open places to be found.
If you are carrying your backpack think about putting your bedding and clothes inside drybags within your pack. This rain can be heavy all day!
Buen Camino
