I have stayed in Le Petit Hotel in Biarritz twice and found it excellent, not expensive, about 100 mts from the beach, loads of excellent restaurants nearby and the manager who speaks fluent English is very helpful. A short bus or taxi ride to Bayonne train station.

I stayed there several times before moving to Biarritz, it's a good choice.

The best person to ask directly might be @biarritzdon for obvious reasons! Buen Camino! SY
These all sound great - thank you.Recommended restaurants:
Bar Jean, Cafe Jean and Bar du Marche (because the owners are good friends of mine)
Tantina de Burgos (great wood grilled steaks and seafood)
La Plancha on Ilbarritz (wonderful beach side terrace with great seafood and sunsets)
As our flight lands late afternoon in Biarritz can anyone please recommend somewhere nice and reasonable to stay overnight along with any restaurants ?
We biarrots do have our detractors. Don't we!I would not stay in Biarritz since it's only an hour away and the pilgrims office is open late (10PM I think). This bus to Gare Bayonne is really easy to find. Apologies - not exactly the answer to the question you asked but I can't see why you would want to stay in Biarritz?

Because it is an absolutely delightful place to spend a night or two, or ten, or live, like biarritzdon, how lucky is he?I can't see why you would want to stay in Biarritz?Sergio
For great Basque food down on the river?I can't see why you would want to stay in Biarritz
Maybe I was eager to get started. No offense intended.Me thinks Sergio was in a big hurry to do his "Camino" or he lives in SJPdP.
Because who wouldn't want to spend more time on the Basque coast, and hence delay the sad day when the camino crosses into La Rioja!why you would want to stay in Biarritz?
