Time of past OR future Camino
April 2016

Yeah, hope to be starting my first Camino on April 13th! Since I retired in Jan 2015 I have been far more active and am in the process of following dreams that only a retiree has the time to do. Step up Camino! Fitness improving, mindset improving, anxiety diminishing. Still praying I make the start line in SJDP and the finish in Santiago! The first step has been made!!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Correct! The first step is the dream about the camino, the next is to make that dream a bit more true. Buen Camino, SY

ReTIRED is definitely a misnomer for your status! Sounds more like you should call it ReENERGIZED! Buen Camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

How can you explain to others WHY you are wanting to do the Camino

Hi. I have also got that question. " Why" .
The main thing here I think is that you know yourself why you want to walk the camino. For me it is the mostly an inside thing, the urge to find the way back to inner peace.
I don't orherwise feel any need to explain, it is just a thing I feel I need to do.. Good luck!

My standard answer to the 'Why?' question is: 'I hope to find that out before arriving in Santiago.' Buen Camino, SY

Hi
For me too, its an inner peace and guidance, clarity. I tried to tell them i couldnt explain but since Ive done many retreats they were asking why i couldnt just go to that community of ppl instead to having to go so far! I found peace at my retreats but i also found so many "humans" that lost the reason of the retreats and find so much division. Toss is something between me and God ONLY! !

I hope I'm making sense!

Buen Camino

Yupp, that's my hope, it's just so hard when family doesn't understand.

I have done many many long walks throughout my life, but on my first Camino I found it was a truly unique experience. The history, the landscapes, the pilgrim community, the facilities along the road, all these made it a wonderful spiritual and emotional journey.

Now I am totally hooked, and plan to return every year to recharge my spiritual batteries for as long as my body will let me.

Why? The birdsong, the sun and cold wind on your face. Uninterrupted thoughts, the soil beneath your feet. The russtle of hedges and the clouds that change everything within your view. The smells of farms, the height of the trees, insects passing and there is no rush. Slow down if you want or get a light sweat. Enjoy. Buen Camino!
