How late? There is a municipal albergue there you could stay at. Otherwise, there are plenty of hotels, hostals, pensions, etc. Pamplona is a large enough city, you can find whatever kind of accomodation you want there.

Hi Rambo,
As I am also arriving late at night in Pamplona I have done a bit of research on the internet and have decided on Hostal Hemmingway. cost €19 in a six bed dorm. Can be found on Hostelworld.com.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The internet has become clever enough that exact spelling is not important, but to find the Hostel Hemingway most easily, note that it is one of the few "hostels" vs. "hostals" found more commonly in Spanish. The website URL and the website spell the name with a single "m", as did Mr. Hemingway himself.

Since you are arriving late I recommend making a reservation at the place you decide on, the Hostal Hemingway looks like a good option. I wouldn't plan on arriving in Pamplona and giong to an alburgue hoping for a bed and find out it is full, also by the time you arrive it could be closed/locked for the night,, usually 10 PM, which is the standard for most alburgues across the Camino. With the reservation your travel to Pamplona will be a lot less stressful. Also go to http://www.madridman.com, he has links to various places to stay throughout Spain. There is a list of cities and accomodations on the left hand side of the main page and Pamplona is there.

Hello Fellow Pilgrims,
I'm arriving solo May 2nd at Pamplona airport at 3:00 PM. My desire is to find a albergue in Pamplona and begin the walk to Santiago from there the following morning. Any help on which way to head out from the airport and wisdom on whether I should find an albergue with vacancies to sleep to refresh for the morning start? Please excuse me if this has been covered by earlier posts. Thanks!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi, 61pilgrim,
You and I will be arriving in Pamplona on the same day. I will be arriving on the train from Paris at 17h55. I am hoping to stay at Casa Paderborn.
Corina.

Corina- thanks for your reply. One big problem...I leave Seattle on May 2nd and don't arrive until May 3rd. Hope you are on your way by the time I check into Casa Paderborn. Thanks for the advice though. Mea culpa on my confused state of excitement  maybe we'll meet up nonetheless along the path. Buen Camino!
