Using 5 Kms as approximate walking distance/day at a Camino Planner http://www.urcamino.com/ it plans for you the day-by-day. There are many days where the next town is more than 11 Kms away, i.e. Orisson to Roncesvalles is 11 Kms with nothing in btwn and Carrion de los Condes to Calzadilla de la Cueza is 17 Kms with nothing in btwn as well. I would definitely give it a go and plan it well so either you transport back or ahead for the night.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Balisun,

Welcome to the Forum!

You will find lots of useful information here to help you plan your camino.
Feel free to ask lots of questions. Many experienced pilgrims enjoy offering advice and sharing tips.

Be sure to check out this earlier Forum thread especially for those of us who are 60 and over . To make walking less burdensome you might consider sending your pack ahead each day using a luggage service. Fellow Forum member Amawalker has compiled a informative blog about such services called slackpacking.

Carpe diem and Buen Camino,

Hola and welcome;
We met a very elderly Canadian lady on the Camino at Brea. She had walked from Sarria. Her shortest day had been 2kms and her longest, because of accomodation, was 8kms. She had stayed in private albergues etc and from Brea expected to take nearly another week into Santiago; a distance we covered in 2 days, even at our speed. In addition to the recommendations above the CSJ guide to the Francés (2013) will also have some accomodation suggestions apart from just the albergues, so you might like to order one and use it too to help make your plans. It is not too heavy (carrying weight) either as compared to some guides.
Buen Camino

Like the others have said, it really depends on where you start. After the Pyrenees it will be easier but there will be the occasional longer, empty stretch like the one after Carrion de los Condes. If you tell us where you would like to start, we might be able to help you better. Buen Camino! SY
