Alternatives to Anton Abad in Villafranca this week?

I will be hiking through from Belorado this week and was hoping to stay at Anton Abad before crossing the mountain. But it doesn't open until the 15th!! I would like to connect with other pilgrims for that longer walk the following day. Advice for where to stay instead? Thanks all!
 
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Villafranca Montes del Oca has really become a problem after the communal albergue closed 2 years ago. The people at hotel Anton Abad was really exhausted and tired because of it, but fortunately, they have an alcove for us pilgrims. A good place to stop, because the climb afterwards is best taken at the beginning in the next morning...

I don't have the phone numbers, but check with the bar at the entrance to the town, the family that runs it, also runs a nice inexpensive place with private rooms next door. The bar also has a restaurant that does an evening pilgrims meal and you may find other pilgrims there.
 
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
