Anybody have a link to the French Rail reservation website?

In English? I got on the site in French, but am not confident in my bookings because they are all in french. Thus, I don't want to reserve a ticket until I see it in the mother tongue. . Anyone know if you can just buy tickets to SPPdP from Bordeaux on the day of the train ride? Thanks!

Try http://www.voyages-sncf.com for french rail, with an english language link on the site.

Tickets can be bought at Bordeaux on the day. You'll need a train to Bayonne then change there for SJPdP. It will all depend on timetables.

Another good site is http://www.raileurope.com for timetables and fares.

Hi!

If that doesn't work for you try the german railroad (Die Bahn) website at http://www.bahn.de, which also is offered in english. You can buy tickets for almost all european trainfares here.

Fodors Travel has a web forum, broken down by destination. Recently a poster on their Europe forum posted a very comprehensive step by step guide to booking French tickets online. I'll try to paste in the link here, but if that doesn't work, go to fodors.com/forums, click on Europe and then do a SNCF search for France. The post's name is something like MorganB's guide to SNCF. I found it very helpful for a trip last month.
