Bilbao Airport to Irun/Hendaye

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
There is city bus from the Bilbao Airport to the Bilbao Bus Station about every 30 minutes. Getting from there to Heydaye/Irun gets a little more dicey. The PESA bus service is limited to several times a day and the train involves taking a Renfe service to San Sebastian and transferring to a narrow gauge service to the border.

I took a bus directly from the airport to San Sebastian (2 hrs ). Just ask at the airport information desk. You can then take a local train (metro) to Irun.
