I just read through the recent post on favorite albergues on the CF. Lots to digest! Only one was mentioned in Pamplona - Casa Ibarrola. Do you have other favorites specifically in Pamplona?

Peg and I stayed at Pamplona Hostel for a few nights after our 2015 CF (I stayed there for several nights on my 2019 camino as well). We stayed in the private room, two bunks one above the other. It adjoined the handicap toilet facility so it could be turned into a private bathroom. The facilities, like the privacy of bunks and lockers, kitchen, etc, look similar to Casa Ibarrola. You get a combination to be able to enter anytime. Because you do not need to be a pilgrim several reviews mention noise problems with tourist guests coming in late. Lots of 5 star reviews though.

Pamplona Hostel is the second albergue on the camino after passing through the French Gate into the old town. Casa Ibarrola is first on the right, Pamplona Hostel one block further on the left (so one block closer to all the stuff you want to see and do). It has a big picture window with a big, fat, stylized, old fashioned pilgrim decorating it.

In Google Maps enter Pamplona Hostel and Maps will bring up its information.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I'm so excited to learn that a new donativo albergue opened in Pamplona in 2023. With a communal meal / traditional welcome as well.
By reading that year's reviews it seems to embody the best of the Camino spirit. I'm hoping the good energy continues as their new season begins for 2024
