Hi! I 've enjoyed reading all of the great posts and threads! This will be my first Camino and I will be flying into Paris from Sacramento, CA, departing SJPdP on September 23rd. My only plan is to have a clear and open mind and embrace everything that comes my way. My preparation has been lots of walking (bonding with my pack), meditating and studying beginner Spanish. I have so much gratitude that I am able to take seven weeks from work and family to follow my Camino! Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts and stories - they are truly inspirational.

Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi Joanne, I love the part about you bonding with your pack; I doing somewhat the same with my hikes here in Victoria, BC. You will be just two days ahead of me. I begin Sept 25th. Perhaps our paths will cross at some point. I do wish you Buen Camino.

Hi JoAnne, you will embrace it all. Meeting lots off other pilgrims and making new friendships along your journey. I wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Hi Maggie,
At first my pack was a bit challenging before I knew about the myriad of adjustments that you can make to customize the fit. Now I love to put it on because it fits and carries so well. I am taking the advice of going very easy at first and exploring along the way so we may just cross paths (I hope so!)

Buen Camino!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Buen Camino, JoAnne! I leave from SJPP on September 24, so we may cross paths. I have also been walking lots with my backpack and am so excited to begin the journey! Happy preparing and I hope to meet you soon.
