Gear wanted Urgently for the Camino - Cork, Ireland! Help!!

Hi all.

I'm going doing the camino de santiago in Spain in August for 5 weeks, next month.

I am on a limited budget and here a few of the things I need to get for the walk;

Walking shoes/boots

Sandles - straps

Socks - bridgedale preferably

Light poncho

wide rimmed hat

50L max rucksack with waist strap

Silk sleeping bag lining

I'm looking to buy the items preferable second hand or else new.

I am living in the Cork city area in Ireland.

Do you know of any second hand stores or shops in the Cork area?

Do you know of any websites whereby you could buy the stuff for a good price, maybe even second hand?

I am looking for quality shoes + rucksack and I am not too concerned about the rest.

I would be open to buying from anybody who may have some of the stuff in the Cork area.

Thanks guys.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
A few stores in Cork city in close proximity.
Mahers Sports in Oliver Plunkett St, 53 degrees North in Paul st, Outdoors Adventure in Paul St, Matthews in Lavitts Quay, Union Chandlry in Penrose Quay, Tents and Leisure Shop in York Hill at McCurtin St.
2nd hand TK Max at Cornmarket St.

Lidl and Aldi stores frequently have walking gear offers.
I notice you have also placed same request to other fora e.g climbing.ie
Not much rock climbing on Camino, I think. :D

Hi Matt I have a things you might be interested in on you're walk on the Camino. First thing you need is a good solid pair of walking boots! I have attached a picture.
These boots came from my good friend Coco

With these boots you need a decent pair ok socks!
Sure these will go a treat with the boots.

And to carry all you're gear you need a versatile light ruck sack!
Sure this will do the trick!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Now you need a big hat for sun protection.
Sure this will keep the rays away on you're trek.

Lastly you need a cozy sleeping bag to slip into at night. Check this out!!
Sure all the Camino walkers will envy you sleeping in this comfy bag!

All good fun Matt. Hope you're Camino walk goes great and you find the gear you're looking for.
All the best Stu
