Heading out in July on Ingles for charity

Camino Ingles (July 2014)
Hi all! I am heading out on my first Camino in July. Due to my time constraints and sedentary lifestyle (as someone else posted), I have been doing walks and training (very light) and will be walking the Ingles.

While I am walking for myself, I am also using this opportunity to try and raise money for a scholarship in my late brother's name. I am blogging about my preparations and itinerary here:

Fromcouchtocamino.blogspot.com

My plan is to video blog at night via WiFi and (if it's not too much weight) to carry a Spot so that blog readers (both of them!) and family can track my progress. I'm walking alone (which is a bit daunting, I admit), but my hope is to be in Santiago before the Feast of St. James.

This forum has been invaluable. Have my forum badge on my pack and fingers crossed that my Camino buff will arrive before I leave!

So if anyone would be willing to pass my blog on to others who might be interested in my journey (or donating a small amount to a worthy cause), please feel free...and I hope to see one or two of you July walkers on the Ingles!

Buen Camino!

Falcon, thanks for the article! I agree about local publicity as well, working on getting local paper coverage and getting the word out through as many different people as possible here.

Just looked at your blog. Buen camino and wishing you all the best on your journey that will also be in your brother's honour. I'll be following in your footsteps on the Ingles a few days later!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
