Hi! How to get from Madrid to Sahagun. I interrupted the previous camino in Sahagun. I want to continue it from there. I have a plane ticket to Madrid. Is there a direct way without going through Leon?

If you catch the Renfe fast train from Madrid's Charmartin station one of the stops before Leon is Sahagun. Go to the Renfe website, nominate English as your preferred language and check dates and times. Also booking and paying through the Renfe site is more reliable and cheaper than third party sites.

Unfortunately, you have to travel there with connections. I'm afraid of missing the transfer spot.

In spring 2022, we took a train from Chamartin to Sahagun (perhaps a different one than this because we had to change trains in Palencia.) Unfortunately, the train leaving Madrid was quite late and we missed our connection in Palencia and ended up spending the night in Palencia. We were lucky because, we quite liked Palencia and had a good time there, and it didn't cause major problems with our schedule.

One thing I learned the hard way when reserving the train to Sahagun in the Madrid airport -- be sure not to pronounce the H. They didn't understand me at all. Of course, I knew the H was silent but ... in the moment I forgot to leave it so.
