Hi Francine from US. I made my intention to walk the Camino in June 2012. My "training" started shortly after and look forward to Spain and the Camino Frances. I'm walking about 5 miles a day, 6 days a week.
I generally don't eat immediately upon rising but noticed after a few weeks of training when I awake I'm very hungry. I've had to stop a few times when walking for an energy bar and water. I'm guessing my body is adjusting to the increase in exercise.
My question is......is it best to carry health bars on the Camino? Is breakfast viable? It isn't easy for me to grab just anything because milk isn't my friend. Cheese isn't an option....or any dairy except yogurt.
