I took my smartphone and put it into my bum bag with the bottom half of the smartphone. I had a string to fix it.

Smartphone light on! And with this I went before sunrise on several days (in the woods or without moon. Meseta and just moonlight is more fun, of course).

Advantage: No additional weight, no additional cost.
Disadvantage: I had to take off the string and take the smartphone out of the bumbag each time if I want to look at the map. Afterwards I had to fix it again.
