Latest guidebook for the Norte

Can you recommend the newest guidebook for my upcoming September (God willing) Camino de Norte? Did John Brierly write one?? Thank you, Merry Christmas Ivar, Hilary

Nate used Cicerone's guide by Dave Whitson (@Dave) and Laura Perazzoli twice on his Camino jaunts and appreciated having it.

I don't think John Brierley has written one for the Norte.

I used the Wise Pilgrim app when I did the Norte earlier this year. I worked great and I highly recommend it. IMHO apps are better as they are more easily updated than paper guidebooks.

I used the wise pilgrim app when I walked the Del Norte in September 2023. I found it very useful, especially the map function.

It is a great resource with maps, information about the different stages and a list of accommodation along the Way. It will tell you how far off the Camino an accommodation is. You can also check reviews and book your accommodation in advance comfortably using this guide https://santiago.forwalk.org/en-us/guide/8-the-camino-del-norte/

Hi slug, thanks for sharing the santiago.forwalk link. I like what I've seen so far. Can you download the app? I searched in Apple app and there isn't any. Otherwise, I have it in my HomeScreen in my Apple Safari which I can easily delete accidentally.

Is there any further news on a 2024 update to Dave Whitson's and Laura Perazzoli's guide to the Camino del Norte and Primitivo?

@Dave I like your guide but the one on sale is the 2019 edition, now 5 years old.

Also would it be any lighter than 350g in a new edition?
