2024 Le Puy - Cahors + Saint-Jean - León
I arrive in Leon this Sunday evening and will stay there until Tuesday morning.

I would appreciate recommendations as regards good restaurants, offering traditional and regional Spanish food (Not menú del día).

I did of course a search but could not come up with Any useful answers.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Have read good things about La Casa del Cocido. They serve hearty local fare and their specialty is the local stew (cocido) made with beef shanks. I liked La Piccola Stanza, however they focus on Italian food (only place in Spain I've ever gotten a headache from the wine and that had to do with quantity, not quality!). Both are a short walk from the Cathedral.

Please report back! I'm always on the hunt for recent reviews and recommendations.

I have eaten three of four times at La Catedral. It is very close to the Cathedral - facing the front door turn to your right, It is just 100-200 m. Not super special, nor super expensive, but usually has fresh anchovies or fresh sardines.

I ate two times in Aurea taberna. Good food and a pleasant view in a small square in city center. Next to Benedectinas albergue.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I had a great meal at Casa del Cocido - definitely recommend!

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Finally, I ended up eating in Ezequiel, a big popular restaurant in Calle Ancha, quite close to the cathedral. It is always very busy and unless you eat very early or very late you would do well to reserve a table.

For my final meal before returning home, I had supper in the rather posh Casa Mando. I cannot recommend it to highly.
