Medical Crisis Averted, Seville here I come

Hola, Camino Family. I've been on pins and needles waiting for final results of a brain MRI and I just found out I do not have a tumor. Hearing and balance issues are probably due to exposure to virus during repeated ear infections. So in 2 months, God willing, I'm off to Sevilla!!

Wanted to start this thread to thank all those who have shared their own stories of having their pilgrimage postponed by some unforseen problem. Even though I don't recall all the details of these posts, thinking about the philosophical and positive attitude reflected has been a source of strength for me these last few weeks.

Usually the posts included the thought that the camino would still be there later, or the acceptance that was exhibited in things as they are instead of the way we planned. A saying my mother sometimes repeated comes to mind--"El hombre propone, y Dios dispone."

Initially I was very disappointed, but gradually I remember the words of those posts and calmed down with the thought that I would get through this somehow and I would eventually walk the camino. I wouldn't force something that wasn't to be. I would know that it just wasn't my time yet.

You might never become aware that your honest words and shared vulnerability might fall on the ears ( or eyes) of someone who needs to hear them. If I don't always comment when I read such posts, right now I would like to thank you.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Glad your news was good! Enjoy your Camino. I started on the Via this year and enjoyed the trekking. It is vastly different than the CF.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for the good words from my fellow pilgrims. A little over 50 days to go! Woohoo!!
