Meeting a pal mid-way

Camino Francés
Evening all,

I’m walking the Camino Frances starting at St John Pied de Port on 29th March. I have a pal who wants to meet me en route for a week of so. If he flew into Pamplona what would be a realistic date for me to meet him there? I’m guessing, what, 5th April, something like that? Let me know what you think guys, I’m really struggling to visulaise in my mind where I will be at any given point in time. Another option would be meeting him in Logrono, maybe that’d be like 12th April? Let me know what you reckon, and many thanks in advance.

All the best,

George

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I arrived in Pamplona on my fourth day of walking. I stayed at Orisson the first night, so if I had walked to Roncesvalles the first day I would have walked to Pamplona in three days. I arrived in Logroño on my 8th day. I was walking fairly typical daily distances.
I'm not suggesting that you follow Brierly stages, but if you look at his guide you will get a good idea of how far an average pilgrim walks each day.

@George Copp, yes, look at one of the guide books or some of the sites with maps and distances. For me it is four days to get to Pamplona, and I could take five!

This site has distances and is helpful, and this site lets you plan your stages and produces a file with overnight stops.
