Monty Python Moments?

Nobody expects The Spanish Inquisition...

Their single chief weapon is surprise, fear, ruthless efficiency and a fanatical devotion to the pope.

So be careful out there.

Well I certainly didn't expect to see a Monty Python vid on this forum. You don't get much abstract humour here. (Good thing or bad thing: discuss :)

Which leads me on to ask the question ' Did YOU ever have a 'Pythonesque' moment on the Camino? I could think of a few but I don't think they would get past the moderators :)

On the Francés last summer, I found it necessary to stop in at the Hospital Universitario de Burgos for an hour or so to have a problem with my leg checked out. I was seen by a doctor and nurse, the latter asking me to remove my shoes and socks in one of the examining rooms. I did so, and put my right heel straight down on a discarded scalpel blade that was lying on the floor. The odd thing, though, was the reaction when I picked it up. The doctor just said "Oh," took it from me, and dropped it in the sharps bin, as though it was the kind of thing she saw half a dozen times a day.

They took very good care of me otherwise, and the bill was surprisingly moderate.

I had the pleasure of walking a couple of days with two English gentlemen who shared my sense of humor and then some. We arrived in Sahagun during festivities (including running of bulls, of which there were exactly five, somewhat Pythonesque in itself) and decided to dive in the celebrations and have some beers.
While having a drink, one of my friends noticed a group of girls dancing in a bar to a music video, all of them imitating the choreography on the tv. He joined them immediately, quickly being accepted and cheered on. He wasn't half bad, either.
I watched, very much amused, and turned to my other friend: "Does he do that often?" He looked up from his phone, located his buddy, watched for a few seconds, didn't even blink and remarked: "Well, it is his favorite dance..." and turned to his phone again.
