I hope I can put this here, please advise and remove if I can’t. A friend of a friend just finished the VDLP end of march and he realized he lost his whole passport (the one with the Camino stamps) :( I’m wondering if there is a place to see them and we can print out? He mostly did the main route. So nothing too off the regular trail? From Canada 🇨🇦

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The credencial (pilgrim "passport") is a booklet/folder with blank spaces where people can collect stamps ("sellos") at places they visit. There is no pre-populated information about the route or where people stop. Every person's completed credencial is unique, so no, there isn't a standard one to print. Your friend can probably explain this to you.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Oh right, yes I know this. But, unfortunately his got lost. He knows exactly where he stayed each night. The thing I was considering was to help out and find a picture of each place he stayed and recreate a passport. Won’t be professional but a nice memory:)

You might not be able to do it with stamps, but perhaps you could take a photo of each place from online.
Before I went to all that trouble, I would ask if he wants it though!

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Good point. He likely has photos that will be more personal triggers for memories.
Oh I get it. But that pilgrim passport is like a medal. I realize it’s tough to duplicate. I was just interested and throwing the question out there :)

If you really wanted to, and had the skill with Photoshop or similar image editing software, it is doable to create something similar. You would need to get a blank credencial and scan it in. Then find out from the friend of a friend where and when they got their stamps (which albergues, churches, bars, etc. and for each on which date). Then go to the sites referenced in the thread that henrythedog linked to in comment #3 above and download the stamps (sellos) for those places and using the software overlay them on the scanned credencial in the right order. You would also want to put the dates in the squares with each stamp image (ideally in a font or selection of fonts that imitate handwriting). Of course, once you've done thins, the challenge remains to find a place that would print it out, it being a very non-standard size. It might be easier to walk the VDLP and collect them again. :)

Not really. Having a credencial is nice but it's not the main event! If I lost one of mine, I would be annoyed, maybe have moment of "sadness", but I would soon get over it. I would probably want to write a list of my stops for future reference, before I forgot.

My philosophy in old age includes letting go of certain trappings that tend to acquire undue sentimental importance.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
