Hello, everyone,
I have been reading the comments of Sil and others, who are on the Camino Frances right now, and it sure looks like September is now a very crowded month. As one who has been tentatively planning to start the Frances next September to see how it compares to the spring caminos I have walked, I'm wondering whether, and if so where, we can get numbers that show when in September the crowds start to drop off. Does the albergue in Roncesvalles keep numbers and post them on a daily or weekly basis? Or the pilgrims' office in Roncesvalles? For instance, it's entirely possible that the numbers in Roncesvalles in the third week of September are much lower than the numbers in Galicia during that same week, not only because more people start in Galicia than in Roncesvalles, but also because the numbers in Galicia reflect those who started in Roncesvalles early in September. Is there any source that gives this kind of detailed information?
Thanks much. Laurie
