Question about doing the Camino Frances in 2 stages

Camino Frances - future!
Hi all,

I hope someone can help me with this.

I'm just at the planning stages of doing the Camino. I think it'll be this time next year when I am actually doing it.

I am thinking of just doing 2 parts of the Camino Frances - SJPDP to Logrono and Leon to Santiago. I will have a gap in between the two stages of about a month or 6 weeks, as I will be working around my leave times from work.

Question is, will I have trouble getting my Compostela because of the gap in the middle?
(I read online that if you are doing the Camino in stages, you have to start off each new stage in the place that you last finished).

Thanks for your help!!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hola Gavin

The Compostela is awarded to pilgrims who walk at least the last 100 kms to Santiago. You will certainly be walking that distance - and more!

The Pilgrims Office asks that we collect 2 sellos per day in the last 100 kms - if you do this from Sarria you'll have no problems obtaining the Compostela.

Buen camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hola!

As stated above, be sure to collect 2 stamps per day once you get to Sarria and you should not have any trouble getting a compostela. You may have difficulty getting the distance certificate which gives your start date and location and the total miles walked. They may notice the gap and deny you that.

Happy Planning!!!

Hi Gavin , the gap will be no problem.
You only need 2 stamps a day at the last 100 km.
Wish you well,Peter.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I contacted the Pilgrim Office in Santiago today and they confirmed that I will be able to get both my compostela and a certificate of distance based on my plan above.
