I'm curious, although have not walked VDLP, what course or project is this for and what questions are you trying to answer?

We are preparing a paper on an internationa conference about St. James Way, which is conducted year by year in Cracow, Poland: http://www.caminogalicja.pl/konferencja2_2015.html

The questionnaire has a broad scope, it examines the profile of pilgrims walking VdlP and the conditions of the route. The main purpose is to give information about the modern way of pilgrimage on Camino. If you have more questions, don't hestitate to ask.

P.S. If anyone know somebody who walked Via de la Plata, please send them information about the questionnaire. Thanks!

Do you count people who have started on the Sanabres route as doing the VDLP? Eg those who start from Ourense?

When do you need this finished? I have walked other camino routes, but will not start the VdlP until May.

Hi,

I did it in June-July in 2012 and also in 2013. The first time I had to stop because I got sick from the heat. Next year I did it all again, much more aware of how to handle the sun, and I made it to Santiago. Good you start in May, one month earlier. The temperature will be a bit lower but you must still beware of hig temperatures in Andalucía and Extremadura.
