Recomodation for what route to choose

We will start our pilgrim walk from Sahagun and I wonder what route we should to choose from Calzada del Coto. Via Bercianos del Camino or via Calzadilla de los Hermanillos.

What is the best way and is it well marked.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Both are well marked, I personally prefer the Bercianos route, but that is really subjective as I like and know the villages on that route well. Buen Camino, SY

I have twice walked via Hermanillos and love the beautiful countryside walk as opposed to the senda. Have stayed at the excellent private albergue on the right as you enter town. Clean ,comfortable rooms and great communal meals. Few but friendly pilgrims.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
The route via Hermanillos is a rural splendour and offers the opportunity to walk the Calzada Romana, supposedly the most perfect extant Roman road in modern Spain. The original pavement is visible at times.

Do, however, take the diversion near the radio-mast to Reliegos. The 'Elvis" bar, Bar La Torre, should not be by-passed.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
I walked to Calzadilla de los Hermanillos on my first camino, and would do so again. As @Tincatinker suggests, going through Reliegos to visit the bar there is almost a must do, but you can do that on either of the alternatives.
